If you had connected your Twitter hashtags or feeds to Flipboard, you’ll notice those are no longer working. You may see gray tiles or broken links. Unfortunately, without access to the Twitter API, we can’t do anything to fix these issues.
Jobbigt och en källa till klydd det här. Mitt och många andras dagliga följande av twitterkonton i appen Flipboard funkar inte längre. Därmed är den nyhets- och informationsstruktur som jag använt för twitter i nära nog ett decennium plötsligt putsväck.
Som väl är ligger alla twittrares användarnamn kvar i appen, så jag får väl nu börja följa folk i twitters egen app. Det har jag aldrig gjort förut. Det innebär också att se gillaknappar och få folks kommentarer mer rakt i fejset. Har alltid ogillat det sociala internet, tjattret. Får mer dåndimpen än dopaminkick där. Det slapp man med Flipboards twitterintegration och tysta avskalade miljö. Nu är den borta.
Jävla Twitter under Elon Musk. Det känns inte alls bra. Och aj, vad jag kommer att sakna Flipboard. Appen passade mig perfekt. Att läsa tweets, men att inte behöva delta. Att slippa gillaknappar, smileys, kommentarer och trådar. Och när det ändå dök upp en intressant tråd så var det bara att växla över till twitterappen en liten stund.
Flipboard var att se, men inte synas. Erbjöd en suverän lösning för oss som inte vill respondera live på tweets, men gärna läser och tar del av folks tankegods och länkar. Appen presenterade inläggen i ett snyggt och tydligt gränssnitt. Top notch, på ett sätt som vida överglänser twitters egen app.

There are over 30,000 of them, on everything from #artificialintelligence to #twitter itself. They are high-quality feeds with little noise, delivering stories from trusted sources 24/7. Just use search to find what you’re interested in, follow the Topic, and comment on stories or share with others on Flipboard. Looking ahead, as Twitter continues to alienate its users, the next wave of social media will be on open platforms like Mastodon.
