TikTok’s recommendation algorithm is promoting homophobia and anti-trans violence

After we clicked “like” on one anti-LGBTQ video, TikTok almost instantly began recommending more. As we liked similar videos, the “For You” page became progressively tailored to almost exclusively anti-LGBTQ content. De har trott sig vara ensamma om sina upplevelser, eftersom de inte bara varit offer för övergrepp utan också för en tystnadskultur där samtliga inblandade – lärarna med sin ideologi, föräldrarna med sin naiva dröm, eleverna med sin utsatthet – gjorts blinda för missförhållandena och stått upp för varandra i en lojalitet så stark att varken Skolverket eller rättsväsendet kunnat tränga igenom.
